Snow piled up in central Indiana in the midst of a spring snowstorm that barreled through the region. Indianapolis broke a record, with 6.2 inches of snow falling on March 24. The previous record for that day was 5.8 inches, which happened in 1912. The snow only stuck around for a couple of days with temperatures rising back up into the 50s.

First week of Spring! We had some beautiful skies and weather this week. Low in the mid-teens, with highs nearly reaching 50°. The trees are starting to fill up with 100s of Grackles. And the Robins are pulling up worms from the lawn when not perched high up in the trees.
A snow storm is supposed to roll through the Midwest this weekend though. The forecast is calling for 6–10 inches of heavy, wet snow. Hopefully it won’t stunt the early growth already beginning in the ground.
I started really seeing the signs of Spring this week. Perennials starting popping up through the soil, and trees started budding. The Grackles, Doves, and Robins also seem to be more plentiful at the feeders.
